Europe's Top 5 Things to See and Do
Europe's Top 5 Things to See and Do
1. Travel to Amsterdam.
Coffee shops and red lights aren't the only things to see in the neighbourhood. I adore Amsterdam and spent a brief amount of time there in 2006. Cobblestone and brick streets wind their way through beautiful canals. Amsterdam has a thriving art and music scene, as well as welcoming locals who are eager to assist you. Make your way out of the city centre to the Jordaan and Oost, which have fantastic outdoor cafes.
2. Spend some time in Barcelona.
Barcelona is a city that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and could challenge New York City for the title of "city that never sleeps." Be prepared for late-night dinners and parties that last until the wee hours of the morning. Barcelona knows how to have a good time. There is a wonderful beach, Gaudi architecture, and history dating back to Roman times, in addition to great food and nightlife.
3. Go to Berlin
Stylish and fashionable Berlin is a buzzing metropolis. It is one of Europe's most affordable capital cities, with a thriving music and art scene as well as a burgeoning foodie scene. There is an abundance of low-cost Middle Eastern cuisine. Make a point of visiting the history museum, which is regarded as one of the best in the world.
4. Allow yourself to be enchanted by Prague.
Prague is a stunning city steeped in history. It's a low-cost destination where people congregate on weekends to enjoy the bars, cheap beer, and delicious food. It's one of the most picturesque and stunning cities I've ever seen.
5. Take a trip to the French Riviera to drink and dine.
Have a good time in the sun, mingle with the rich and famous, and sail (or admire) massive yachts. For a short time, you can act as though you're living the high life. Nice is nice, and Monaco is just a short distance away.
